Need a Vacation?

Welcome to Gourmet Food Shoppe, our little spot on the Internet where we explore gourmet foods. Gourmet food is really a cultural ideal associated with the culinary arts of fine food and drink. It is most often associated with elaborate preparations and presentations of large meals of small, often quite rich courses. The word “gourmet” is from the French term for a wine broker. Certain events such as wine tastings cater to people who consider themselves lovers of gourmet foods. The Food Network and various Gourmet Food Magazines are increasingly popular in the industrialized world.
